MANAGE YOUR EMOTIONS

The more you try to control your emotions, the more you deny a part of yourself. When we don't take care of our emotions they take care of us (depression, burn out) and manifest themselves as disorders, symptoms or somatisations that a therapist can interpret by working on the cause behind the symptom.

Your behaviour, your communication and your symptoms come from your emotions. By harmonizing your internal emotions, you are working directly on how you behave and the way you communicate.

Your emotional intelligence can help you to tackle your internal conflicts.

THE METHOD

You will learn about emotional intelligence and vocabulary via practical exercises and role games with your therapist. This technique allows you to :

Be yourself and remove your mask
Assert yourself without being aggressive
Control your emotions and anger
Live in harmony with yourself and others
Learn how to protect yourself and control negative messages and emotions that others could send your way
Learn how to express your limits
Learn to feel completely comfortable vis.à.vis others and how they see you
Decipher your emotions, understand them and learn how to interpret their messages.

STRESS

Because stress results from interaction between an individual and his or her surroundings, we know today that stress is unique to each of us. Factors such as, heredity, education, socio.cultural milieu, life experiences and, above all, personality, all play a role. The people at risk are those who are hyperactive, impulsive, always hurried, impatient, ambitious, aggressive and people who are always trying to get ahead, to gain something. As a result, these people often suffer from heart.related illnesses, stomach ulcers, arterial hypertension and cerebral hemorrhage.

In order to be able to control stress, one has to confront it, by identifying both the stress factors themselves and our own reactions to these stresses. Controlling stress means limiting it to good stress, i.e. keeping it at a level that optimizes performance and creativity.
